Headers, +10 hp (maybe more)

The prototype headers made an additional 20 hp. But, this was measured on a 3400, and they have more power and displacement, and would benefit more from these headers, than my 3100 would. The tuning for headers on the 3400 shouldn't be much different than the tuning needs of my 3100, as the main difference between the motors is only bore.

Computer Reflash (+1 hp?.... +3 hp?..... any would be nice)

I have only two goals from a reflash (and a wish for a few horsepower): as my transmission is eletronically controlled, the reflash should be able to move shift points. My 1-2 shift is at 5500 rpm, which is just past peak power. Moving the shift point to 5800 rpm, would put second gear a little higher in the power band. My other goal is key, which is to raise or remove the governor.

Ported Upper and Lower (or 3400) Intake Manifolds, +10 hp

Swapping these are somewhat hard to do. Most people have trouble with the lower intake manifold gasket going out on the 3100s. Mine did. Some people just swap manifolds then, I wished I would of. From the sounds of things the horsepower gains sound about right with a decent throttle body, intake, and a fair amount of exhaust work. The 3100 can make a fair amount of power, if it can "breathe".

Recently a few people have had trouble with these, losing power instead of gaining it. We'll see what happens.

Auxillary Transmission Cooler

And absolute must for anybody that pounds on their transmission. This simply is a miniture radiator for the transmission fluid. I may also add synthetic ATF as extra layer of protection.

Rims

I'm currently looking at getting a set of Mille Miglia MM11-2 16" rims from the Tire Rack. They only weigh 16 lbs and are reasonably priced at $119 each.

Summer Tires

I'm planning on getting Firestone Firehawk SZ50 EP in 205/55 R16s, I can go to 225/50s, but with the added rolling resisitance this will hurt my ET. I am going to get a set of these tires. These are the best tires The Tire Rack has in my size. They are also a bit cheaper than most tires in there category.
